Every user โ€” admin and team member alike โ€” has a personal My Account section for managing their own profile and preferences.

Deleting Your Account

โš ๏ธ Warning โ€” This action is permanent. Deleting your account removes your profile and access to TidySlot immediately. Your historical job data remains in the organisation for record-keeping, but you will not be able to log in or recover your account. There is no undo.
โœ… Tip: If you are an admin and want to remove a team member instead of letting them delete themselves, use the Team module to deactivate their account.

Organisation Settings

Admins have access to a separate Organisation Settings section (sometimes shown as "Settings" or "My Organisation" in the sidebar). This covers settings that apply to the whole organisation โ€” not just the individual user.

โš ๏ธ Slots still fire on Week Off days. Setting week off days in Organisation Settings does not stop slots from appearing on team members' calendars on those days. The week off setting is informational โ€” it does not block slot scheduling. Adjust your Block Days patterns in Time Slot if you do not want jobs to appear on specific days.
โš ๏ธ No public holiday blocking. TidySlot does not have a public holiday calendar. Slots fire on all selected dates regardless of national or regional holidays. Manage holiday scheduling manually via Block Days.

โ„น๏ธ Organisation Settings vs. My Account
My Account = your personal settings (name, password, account deletion).
Organisation Settings = financial year, week off days, and monthly working hours for the whole organisation.
โ„น๏ธ Settings changes do not affect past data. Changing your Financial Year dates, Week Off Days, or Monthly Working Hours only affects future calculations and views โ€” no historical job data or time sheet records are changed.

Tips & Notes

โš ๏ธ Account deletion is irreversible. If you need time off or are leaving temporarily, ask your admin to deactivate your account instead. Deactivation can be reversed; deletion cannot.
โœ… Security tip: Change your password every 3โ€“6 months and never share your login credentials with others. Each team member should have their own account.

Frequently Asked Questions

I forgot my password โ€” how do I reset it?

Go to app.tidyslot.com and click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your email address and follow the reset link sent to your inbox.

Can I change my email address?

Email addresses cannot be changed within TidySlot. If you need to use a different email, ask your admin to invite you with the new email address and revoke your old account. Your new account will start fresh โ€” slot reassignment will be required.

Why is the "Delete this Account" button not asking for confirmation?

A confirmation step is being added to the Delete Account flow in an upcoming update to prevent accidental deletions. Until then, please be careful when clicking the delete button โ€” the warning message is real. If you deleted your account accidentally, contact support immediately at support@tidyslot.com.

Can an admin change another team member's password?

No โ€” admins cannot change team members' passwords. Each team member manages their own password from their My Account page. If a team member has forgotten their password, they should use the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen to reset it themselves.

Can team members access Organisation Settings?

No. Organisation Settings is visible and accessible only to admins. Team members who try to access admin pages are redirected to their My Account page.
